Hume Early Years Hub Support Coordinator (101483)
*$97,409 pa (Band 7) plus super *Temporary Part time - to 30 June 2023 *24 hours per week
Hume City Council is seeking an experienced Community Development professional to coordinate the fifteen Hume Community Hubs, based in primary schools, within a job share arrangement.
The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of the role of Local Government with extensive experience working with multicultural populations, knowledge and understanding of early years frameworks and the Victorian education system, particularly primary schools.
Committed to innovation and achieving the priorities of Council, you will be passionate about the community and provide a coordination, liaison and support function across the fifteen community hubs in Hume to ensure better outcomes for those targeted communities.
You will lead by example, demonstrating and implementing Council's core character principles of respect, customer focus, collaboration and innovation.
As a key position in the Community Strengthening Department, reporting to the Coordinator Community Capacity Building, the main functions of this role include:
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with hub leaders, school and local community partnership groups and services.
- Support the engagement of local hubs with the National Community Hubs Program, including assisting schools to implement the Quality Framework.
- Initiate innovative, collaborative pilot projects to address identified needs, gaps or emerging issues.
