Team Leader - Arts and Culture Development

*$97,409 pa (Band 7) plus super *Full time

Hume City Council is seeking an experienced Team Leader to guide and develop the Arts and Culture team to implement and evaluate Council's Strategic direction for the delivery of arts and culture facilities and programs.

You will have sound knowledge of the role of Local Government in community development with extensive experience working within an arts and culture setting.

Committed to innovation and achieving the priorities of Council, you will be passionate about the community and developing people. You will lead by example, demonstrating and implementing Council's core values of respect, customer focus, collaboration and innovation.

As a key position in the Community Strengthening Department, reporting to the Coordinator Community Capacity Building, the main functions of this role include:

  • Lead and manage the provision of facilities and programs within arts and culture setting, which includes managing a team of Arts and Culture /Community Development professionals and Gallery Curator.
  • Oversee programing and development of Council's Art Galleries
  • Implement policies and strategies related to the Arts and Culture portfolio
  • Design and implement access, inclusion and social justice initiatives.
  • Establish and grow partnerships and networks internally and externally to the Organisation.

Your ability to ensure quality services are provided at all times and your passion for stakeholder engagement will be vital to your success.
