Playspace Maintenance Officer (100990)

* $63,017 pa (Band 3), plus super and applicable allowances *Full Time, 9 day fortnight

Our Parks Department has an opportunity for an enthusiastic person to join the Playspace maintenance team. Reporting directly to the Team Leader Play Space you will primarily be responsible for carrying out the routine maintenance and repairs to Councils playgrounds, skate parks and other designated play elements in parks, reserves and facilities. A rotation system is in place within the team, for the regular operational auditing of play units amongst the Playspace team. All works are in accordance with Council policy and procedures and in accordance with Australian Standards. Previous experience in Playspace maintenance or demonstrated mechanical aptitude is required. In addition a level 2 Operational Playspace Inspection Certificate would be an advantage but not essential.

Key Skills

  • Written and oral communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team and alone
  • Demonstrated experience in the operational inspection and maintenance of parks equipment or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in operation inspection and maintenance in a highly regulated industry
