Your Role:

Hume is not just a growth area and in this role you just be won't a growth area planner.

You will collaborate and innovate with Council colleagues, state government agencies and developers to facilitate development in major urban renewal areas, metropolitan and local activity centres, metropolitan growth areas, and state significant employment areas.

You will be responsible for the preparation of new planning policy, new Council strategies, and planning scheme amendments. You will assess and manage development proposals and negotiate legal agreements with developers to secure local infrastructure provision.

You will also have the opportunity to shape major state and local transport, open space, leisure, and community facility projects.

Your work at Hume won't just make changes to the planning scheme, it will shape the strategic direction of the Council and make a tangible difference to the lives of the community.
