Hume City Council has an exciting opportunity in a leadership role for an enthusiastic and motivated engineer to join the Assets department as Coordinator Civil Design.
The Coordinator Civil Design will lead a dedicated team that is focused on delivering the design of civil infrastructure, undertaking and analysing matters relating to storm water drainage and providing a high level of customer service.
The successful applicant is to have tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering with demonstrate experience and expertise in civil design and managing staff. Highly developed interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, empower, supervise, delegate, train and develop tertiary qualified and experienced staff and ensure adherence to standards, guidelines, Council policies and procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake design, preparation of plans, specifications, estimates, tender and contract documents for various civil infrastructure projects.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to prepare reports, briefings, submissions and relevant correspondence and ability to communicate clearly using approaches suitable to the audience and to achieve maximum impact.
